Our first Christmas with Bear was awesome! He made everything so much fun, even for the big kids. He sat in his exersaucer and watched them open gifts. Caitlin's big gift this year was the iPhone 4G and Casey got a new felt hat and a pair of boots he's been wanting and they got a few smaller gifts as well, but nothing exciting enough to list. Unfortunately, by the time we got ready for Bear's gifts he was too sleepy. However, it worked out great because Rod (PaPa) and Gloria (Guinny) came by to visit just in time to open them and he was in the BEST mood! I'm so happy we didn't force him to open them when Caitlin and Casey were opening theirs. Even though he is only 5 1/2 months old, he really does love all of his gifts. I'm going to take pictures of him playing with them and I'll post them asap. His favorites seemed to come from all the grandparents...they obviously know him very well! His favorites so far are the dump truck from Papa & Grandma, his activity table from Guinny & PaPa and he got the cutest stuffed lion with his name embroidered on it from Mimi & John. He got some great outfits as well...which is perfect because he's outgrowing his so fast. Santa got him a walker and it's just as much fun for all of us as it is for him. We have a blast pushing him back and forth to each other in it! Anyway, that's about it for Christmas 2010!!!
Just a side note...this is Ryan's and my 3rd Christmas together. The first Christmas we spent together we were engaged and I was the happiest I had ever been. Last year we were pregnant and so excited that "next Christmas" we would have our baby with us and I was definitely the happiest I had ever been. Well, this year didn't disappoint to say the least. I spent this Christmas with all of the people I love most in this world, my husband and our children, and once again I am happier than I have ever been. Every year really has gotten better and better, but that first year together I was so happy that you could have never convinced me it was possible...and then came Bear. God has been so good to us.
I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.
