I'll just give everyone a brief run of what's been going on in our lives lately. I'm doing a TERRIBLE job keeping up with anything right now that isn't totally necessary. However, my objective in having this blog is so I can look back years from now and see what we were up to. At this pace I won't have any idea if I don't force myself to reflect on it all.
So...
- Brayden stayed in the church nursery for the very first time on April 10th (SOOO happy we found a church we absolutely LOVE)
- Caitlin turned 17 on March 28th!!!!
- Casey turned 16 on April 6th!!!! (I cried)
- Brayden turned 9 months on April 14th!!!!
- Caitlin and I met with the school counselor to get started on college applications (I cried)
- Caitlin had her first wreck/fender bender...on Easter Sunday (amazingly, neither she nor I cried)
- Casey went mudding for the first time in his OWN truck...and left the windows down!!!!
- Brayden had his first REAL try on crawling on April 7th, but on April 12th he actually crawled from one side of the living room to the other without stopping! (I cried)
- Bear pulled up on the ottoman for the first time on April 16th with Casey and I watching on...we were all SHOCKED, including Bear!
- Brayden walked along the ottoman for the first time on April 22nd
- We took Bear to the zoo for the first time with the Lyons family on April 22nd...he slept the entire time.
- Caitlin gouged out her eyeball the day before Easter while participating in an Easter Egg Hunt (she is very competative and wanted the egg at all cost!)...so far there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage, but I bet she is a lot more careful next time she tries to hunt for Easter eggs!
- Casey has been job hunting and I'm so proud that he's trying so hard to get a job
- Caitlin has started giving tennis lessons to young kids in the surrounding neighborhoods and already has 7 kids that she is teaching! All of those lessons I've paid for might actually save me money in the end!!! My theory is that the more she makes the less she'll ask for...am I just being delusional????
- Ryan started his new job and is not only loving it, but he's working his butt off!!!! He is so smart, so dedicated and so driven. I love to see how hard he has been working, how well he has done so far and how excited he gets about his future with this company....and I love being the Vice President's wife!!!!!!
I think that's the major highlights for now...everything else I'll do separate posts for!
